Draghetto/ 2015 design Alberto Ghirardello
Designed by Alberto Ghirardello, Drago and Draghetto are living proof that dragons are not always monsters from which to defend ourselves.
For rather than spout flames, they love being stroked by adults and children, and furnishing homes and offices with their bright humour.
And as trusted companions of adventure – in both the classic version, and in those of Mini and Light – they know the dragons’ language, which can always come in handy.
Alberto Ghirardello was born in 1985 in Vicenza. After gaining his Industrial Design bachelor degree at I.U.A.V. University of Venice in 2007, he moved to Milan and enrolled at Politecnico Master degree in Industrial Design. While attending the design courses he gained his experience also through several collaboration: after a short period at Habits studio he had a six months collaboration at Bartoli Design studio. From 2010 to 2012 he had been working for Giulio Iacchetti’s design studio (with whom he graduated in 2010). In 2013 he founded his own design studio, working on the full spectrum of design and collaborating with several companies, both Italian and foreign. His work is covered by many design magazines and exhibited in many events like Fuorisalone, Maison & Objet, Ambiente, Salone del Mobile, Roma Design Più, Abitare il Tempo, Macef, Hong Kong Design Week and Triennale Design Museum.
