Vela Coffee Table Structure

/ 2025 design BrogliatoTraverso

VELA Coffee Table, designed by Art Directors BrogliatoTraverso, is the table matched with VELA Armchair, born from the poetic observation of sails inflated by the wind and translating that gesture into an embracing and harmonious shape.

VELA Coffee Table contains within it a practical storage compartment, designed to make any context more functional without sacrificing style.

One of the most refined details characterizing VELA Coffee Table is the raised seam, a visual and tactile sign that runs along the edges defining the contours of the structure.

This connecting line reveals a glossy finish that contrasts with the matte surface, highlighting the precision and value of the design. The three-dimensional effect adds depth, making VELA Coffee Table more defined and elegant, while the tailoring reference evokes the typical care of Italian craftsmanship.

VELA Coffee Table is available in different material finishes such as Lava, Grain, Pietra, and Creta.

The VELA family also stands out for its scenic impact: in the White Light version the items can be equipped with a lighting kit, transforming them into luminous objects capable of evoking unique atmospheres in the evening hours. The soft light filtering through the furniture makes the seam become a graphic perimeter that emphasizes the geometry of the armchair and the coffee table.

BrogliatoTraverso

Both graduates from I.U.A.V. in Venice, after various experiences that took them from learning the art of Murano glass to working with traditional ceramics in Japan, in 2014 Alberto Brogliato and Federico Traverso founded the design studio BrogliatoTraverso. The evolution of their profession has increasingly made them eclectic, aware that the contemporary role of a designer can no longer be limited to dictating their own style. The studio’s method focuses on a depth of analysis and skills that allow them to interpret the essence of the brands they collaborate with, as detached from style concerns as they are committed to the meaning of each individual project.

This approach has enabled BrogliatoTraverso to work consistently with brands such as Magis, Cappellini / Haworth, Guzzini, and others. These collaborations have earned the studio numerous international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, the German Design Award, the IF Design Award, the Interior Design Best of Year, the Good Design Award, and the ADI Design Index.
